Eta Phi Beta Sorority prides itself in being a family-oriented organization. The National Council of SHADs, husbands of Sorority members, provides scholarships, serves as role models for the youth, and implements various community service projects. The first SHAD Club of Eta Phi Beta Sorority,
Inc., was organized in 1949
in Detroit, Michigan.
The Youth Group includes the Bee-Ettes, young ladies ages 12-18; Senords, young men ages 12-18; and Eta Kids, children ages 6-11. The Youth Group participates in personal development workshops and activities, assists with Sorority sponsored programs and implements various community service projects. The National Conventions of the Youth and SHADs are held concurrently with the Grand Boulé.

Eta Phi Beta, Sorority is an affiliate organization of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW). Eta Phi Beta Sorority supports the NCNW through its involvement at the National level and through the community-based sections. The National President of Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is a member of the NCNW Board of Directors.
